I explain Parkinson’s disease vis a vis the brain in several of my books…(Book V the Brain most notably)…
That a deficiency in the Globus pallidus of Copper/Dopamine, & a corresponding excess in the Hypothalamus of Phosphorus/serotonin/Lewy bodies, is the characteristic state of Parkinson’s disease…
Recently, a psychiatrist wanted to prove me wrong by stating that Parkinson’s occurs in the Substantia Nigra…
In fact, this is not proving me wrong, just seeing the problem from a different perspective…
I had stated that Parkinson’s was excess Phosphorus in the Hypothalamus…
The Substantia Nigra handles Dopamine/Copper on the Brain part chart…
I refer to the Globus Pallidus, because that is where Dopamine/Copper is handled primarily…
The Substantia Nigra is a transport mechanism area…Like a pathway…
So yes, in Parkinson’s, there will be less dopamine/copper being handled there, in the substantia nigra…
But to CORRECT that problem, I feel you have to focus on increasing Dopamine/Copper, & decreasing Serotonin/Phosphorus…A serotonin agonist would be appropriate…(agonist is like antagonist)…
So I am not wrong…Just seeing the problem from a different perspective…
The following study talks about the Hypothalamus in Parkinson’s as being overfilled with Phosphorus/Lewy Bodies…
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2887537
Cause??? I feel Parkinson’s disease is caused by a violent head trauma, usually in childhood, but can be later, possibly to the nose area…Deep enough to cause swelling in the Hypothalamus…The swollen Hypothalamus then constricts the Globus Pallidus & uses up huge amounts of Dopamine…Which in turn causes cell death of dopamine receptors in the Substantia Nigra later on in life…
