I had a theory…

A man had a familial history of heart problems…

He presents with Frontotemporal dementia( also called Pick’s disease)…

I posited it had something causal related to the heart…

Streptococcus affects the heart…

It can also cause bradycardia, low blood pressure, which can be a sign in infants of strep…

I posited that strep could cause personality changes, like as seen in frontotemporal dementia…

Picks disease also presents with bradycardia…

So, my theory is that Picks is really chronic streptococcus infection…

The link above is about personality change with streptococcus infection…

So, my theory is to treat Frontotemporal dementia as streptococcus infection…

More: The study linked above points to rheumatic  fever, a consequence of strep infection, linked to dementia & Pick’s disease…

Note: aphasia, the naming of things by the wrong name, is common to both strep infection & Pick’s disease dementia…
