From Sari Grove: I keep seeing this MISTAKE repeated over & over in forums, groups, internet chats, & even medical articles online…
What is the mistake?
Confusing the word Copper with the word Ceruloplasmin…
What do I mean by that?
Ok…So…Ceruloplasmin & Copper are OPPOSITES…
They oppose each other…
High ceruloplasmin means low Copper, & vice versa…
But I keep seeing articles & studies referring to Ceruloplasmin AS Copper…
Ceruloplasmin BINDS Copper…It is a Copper BINDER…
It is like cheese & coffee…
Ceruloplasmin is cheese, Copper is coffee…
In Cancer, you get high ceruloplasmin, low Copper…Which is why Coffee enemas work…& NOT eating cheese works…
In Wilson’s disease, you get High Copper, Low ceruloplasmin…They need more cheese, no coffee…
The excerpt that I have copied & pasted below shows Wilson’s disease…
It explains it pretty well…
Notice that these two words are Opposites…
When one is high, the other is low…
When you do a search for foods containing Copper, you may see the word Liver…UHUH…NOOoooo…Liver is high in Ceruloplasmin, not copper!
When you see a Cancer study headline saying Copper is bad if you have Cancer, Noooooo, they mean Ceruloplasmin…
Why is this mistake prevalent?
I think it is because there are many non-native-English speakers who are working in labs, writing reports online, students, assistants?
Not sure…
Unless there are people On Purpose trying to hurt others? Possible…
Anyways…
If you have cancer, then you want MORE Copper, LESS Ceruloplasmin…
If you have Wilson’s disease, you want MORE Ceruloplasmin, less Copper…
Either that, or both people should make friends & hang out!
Things with Copper: Mimosa Pudica herb, Licorice root, Coriander, Cilantro, Chromium, St John’s wort, Matcha tea, black tea, Plant caffeines like Yerba Mate, Chicory, fennel , anise, Coffee, Copper including jewellery, fabrics, cups…
Things with ceruloplasmin: probiotics, Cheeses, Yogurt, cottage cheese, Kefir, dairy, estrogenic things, Phosphorus things, Serotonin based drugs(Abilify), milks, passion flower…Salmonella & Helicobacter Pylori like to feed on Ceruloplasmin-which can cause stomach tumours…
Below is the excerpt…
I am using an excerpt about Wilson’s disease because they are so clear cut specific about the difference between Ceruloplasmin & Copper…
Wilson’s is a WELL studied disorder…
Also, because Wilson’s is so specific, unlike literature on cancer, which is just ALL over the place, you can trust the information better…
The following is TRUE…

Approach Considerations
The presence of Kayser-Fleischer rings and ceruloplasmin levels of less than 20 mg/dL in a patient with neurologic signs or symptoms suggest a diagnosis of Wilson disease. If a patient is asymptomatic, exhibits isolated liver disease, and lacks corneal rings, the coexistence of a hepatic copper concentration of more than 250 mg/g of dry weight and a low serum ceruloplasmin level is sufficient to establish a diagnosis. Therefore, in the absence of Kayser-Fleischer rings or neurologic abnormalities, a liver biopsy for quantitative copper determination is essential to establish the diagnosis of Wilson disease.”
April 18, 2018:
Just to step in, in case there is confusion, copper does remove ceruloplasmin, because they are opposites…One displaced the other…This may be why studies have been misconstruing evidence…When ceruloplasmin is high, it can displace copper, so then copper as catecholamines, is excreted into serum & urine…When they measure blood or urine copper levels, & they are high, this might mean it has been displaced…But diagnostics may be concluding that body levels of copper are high…Sorry this was longer than I planned…I planned to just say :” Like to unlike”…( unlike cures like)
